​I have been teaching since 1998, in a variety of different settings, with experience of teaching from Nursery to Year 11. My specialism is with the primary phase and this is where I enjoy teaching the most.

I spent a considerable amount of time working as a SENCo and Inclusion Manager within a large primary school, where my passion for supporting pupils with additional needs grew. I began teaching in the specialist school environment in 2013 and have enjoyed every moment; and have been challenged in more ways than one! Working as an Assistant Headteacher has given me the ability to be both an educator and a leader and I am keen to use these skills as part of the Silverwood School team.
