I am an Assistant Headteacher with 18 years of experience working in specialist education. Throughout my career, I have taught across all age ranges and within the Pre-, Semi-, and Formal Pathways, giving me a broad understanding of the diverse needs of learners with SEND.

My specialist area is supporting pupils with sensory impairments, and I hold a PGCE Diploma in Multi-Sensory Impairment. I have also recently completed the NPQ for SENCOs, further strengthening my leadership and expertise in inclusive education.

I am passionate about developing the skills and confidence of both pupils and staff. I have designed and delivered training and INSET sessions for teachers, focusing on communication and sensory approaches that enable learners to access meaningful and engaging educational experiences.

Above all, I am committed to ensuring that every learner at Silverwood leaves school as independent as possible, equipped with the skills, confidence, and resilience to enjoy a successful, fulfilling, and happy adulthood.
