Building Community, Inspiring Learning

Terri Chard

Head of Campus, Rowde

I have worked in education for the last 22 years. I have been a Deputy Head teacher in 3 different schools, both mainstream and Special Ed. I started my career as a PE teacher, and at times you will still see me dust off my hockey stick.

I have a Bachelor of Education degree and the National Professional Qualification in Headship. My specialist areas are Safeguarding and Behaviour. I believe that to be able to learn, children need to be safe, have their needs met and be happy.

I am honoured to be a Head of Learning at Silverwood School and to part of a new and exciting era for Special Educational Needs in Wiltshire. I love working as part of a dynamic leadership team to ensuring that we provide the best education possible for the young people in our care.

In my spare time, I still enjoy playing and watching sport. I have two dogs and several chickens. I enjoy going on holiday, and always take the chance when I am away, to go diving in warm waters!
