Rowdeford School has now become Silverwood School, Rowde Campus, following the amalgamation of three local special schools. The charity that supported Rowdeford School has changed its name to Silverwood School Charity Trust but its aims remain much the same.
The Charity has recently provided playground equipment at Chippenham Campus, a sensory garden at Trowbridge Campus and bikes and trikes at Rowde. It’s medium term project is to continue to enhance the Sensory path at the Rowde campus. Planning permission has been given for the longer term project of building an Animal Resource Centre at Rowde.
The Garden and Country Fair was put on hold during the Covid outbreak, then much of the grounds were taken up by the contractors as building work on the new campus was underway.
Planning has now started for the 2026 Garden and Country Fair to be held in the grounds of Rowde campus on Sunday May 10th 2026.
A formal invitation to have a stall or pitch at the event will be sent out shortly, if you want to amend our stall holders database then please get in touch through silverwoodgcfair@gmail.com
The Rowde Campus now has around 360 children mostly accommodated in the magnificent new building formally opened by Princess Anne in July 2025.
Whilst renovation work continues in and around Rowdeford House, the Victorian walled garden remains in use.
