Building Community, Inspiring Learning

Mike Loveridge

Director of Learning

Since qualifying as a teacher 1993, the majority of my teaching commitments included Mathematics, ICT and PE. Over 17 years of my experience has been at Senior Leadership level. I enjoyed over six years of success as Deputy Head in a large and successful mainstream secondary school as well as two years in the role of Deputy Head in a Special School for children with Complex Needs (11-16). More recently I successfully fulfilled the role of Head Teacher at Rowdeford School.

I believe in education for all. Everybody has the right to succeed regardless of race, gender, special educational needs or wealth. I believe that as educators we need to provide a happy, safe and calm environment, where all young people can develop values which foster a positive community, as well as giving them the opportunity to achieve more than they thought possible.

I have two sons and in my spare time I enjoy running, as well as watching sport; I am particularly keen on Cricket and Rugby.
