At Silverwood all parents/carers are equally valued as part of our school community. We recognise parent, carers and families are the most important influence in a child’s life. Parental engagement has a significant impact on a child’s learning and has a positive effect on educational outcomes and wellbeing. We therefore promote positive partnerships with all our families and promote regular communication between home and school. Our approach provides a framework in which all parent/carers can engage meaningfully in the education of their child and school life, express their views and have these taken into consideration on matters effecting the education of their child.
